Chillians are a peacful race that like to meet and inter-relate with many different species.

Chillians are an average humanoid race. They have blue eyes, pale skin, and are usually between 5 and 6 feet tall. Their hair is white with either blue, silver, or violet tint. They are naturally telepathic between other Chillians but only a few can interact telepathically with other species. Their bodies have a high energy level which allows most of their population to use what they call "skill powers." These powers can become extremely powerful so they more than make up for their lack in physical strength.

The Chillians originally had no true structure. Later, as they expanded into the galaxy, they adopted the government of an Empire. An Emperor or Empress and their family continue to rule them for 50 years. After that point, a new Imperial family is chosen. The Emperor and Empress do not have supreme power. Many of their actions must be cleared by the counsel. The counsel members are chosen by the current ruler. Chillians are naturally peaceful and do not have a lust for power. They have never had a cruel ruler.

The Chillians are an offshoot of the Arapi race. The Arapi were able to adapt to any environment and would manifest physical changes to match. Therefore the Chillians also have this ability in a limited fashion. Early on the Borak rescued the Arapi from their dying galaxy and relocated them. However, during transit, some of the cryogenic sleep chambers malfunctioned and the people inside were exposed to the full force of the intense cold. When the Borak dropped off the Arapi on their new world they noticed that the ones that had the accident had completely adapted to the cold and could no longer live on the same world as the others. So the Borak took these ones and put them on an ice world and hoped that they would someday be able to rejoin their brothers and sisters. This never happened and the two colonies of the Arapi grew apart. The ones on the Ice world called themselves the Chillians or "Frozen Family." They expanded their technology and their population until they felt it was time to return to the stars. However, when they tried, they discovered a Borak Forcefield that encompassed their entire galaxy. Many times they tried to pass it but most that did were immediately returned by a Borak ship. The Chillians began to feel much hostility towards the Borak for enclosing them inside their galaxy. Later, they had an encounter with the Borak and they explained themselves and their reasoning. They were waiting for the Chillians to return to the same power as their ancestors, the Arapi. A Chillian woman, Tosha Zoway, was the first to reach to full potential. When the Borak saw this they shut down the forcefield and the Chillians were free to explore the universe. Now their colonies can be found all over known space.
