The Nostropholeans are a tough, electromechanical race.

The Nostropholean's body is composed of mainly silicon and oxygen. New individuals are manufactured deep inside the planet's core at very high tempreatures and pressure. Then they are brought to the surface to form their intellectual circuity as their molecules cool down and cyrstalize in preset patterns. Once that occurs, they become sessile - unable to move -. Then they extend thin extremities wich are plugged to their closest neighbours for communication.

The Nostropholeans conform a union of Planet - States. Given the biological characteristics of this race, there is no social freedom. Every 1000 solar years, every planet manufatures one special individual, called Nosmarathys and all of them are connected to each other in via microwaves in a contest for supremacy.

This is the only known electromechanical race that has evolved spontainously from inorganic molecules. Only lately this race has developed organic and biological chemistry. That is why many classical Nostropholean phylosophers and scientists have debated whether carbon based life was possible or not.
